West Bank and Jerusalem face widespread Israeli raids and settler attacks

Israeli forces conducted extensive military operations across the West Bank and Jerusalem on Friday, involving widespread raids, arrests, and the uprooting of vegetation.

In the West Bank, raids occurred in several governorates including Nablus, Tulkarm, Jenin, Qalqilya, and Ramallah. Notable incidents included the arrest of a 17-year-old in Beita and several individuals in Masliya. In Jenin, military forces entered the town of Qabatiya and converted a home into a military barracks. In Jerusalem, forces entered the Silwan area, where local sources reported a young man was wounded by gunfire.

Parallel to military raids, settler activity resulted in attacks on Palestinian property and people. In Rantis, settlers set fire to three vehicles, while in Bethlehem, dozens of olive trees were uprooted in Al-Muniyah. Other reported incidents include the theft of livestock and agricultural machinery near Nablus and attacks on shepherds in the northern Jordan Valley.

In Beit Awwar al-Fawqa, near Ramallah, Israeli forces used bulldozers to uproot olive and forest trees. A military order was issued to clear 29 dunams of land. According to the Wall Resistance and Settlement Against the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee, 54 such military orders have been issued since the start of the year, targeting a total of 2,316.58 dunams of vegetation, a significant increase compared to the previous year.
