West Bank and Jerusalem face surge in Israeli raids and settler activity
Israeli forces conducted extensive raids and arrest operations across the West Bank and Jerusalem on September 30, 2026. At least 22 Palestinians, including three children, were detained during operations in various governorates such as Nablus, Tulkarm, Jenin, and Bethlehem. The raids involved house searches, field investigations, and clashes that resulted in injuries, including an 80-year-old man.
Simultaneously, Israeli settlers carried out multiple incursions and acts of violence. Approximately 1,317 settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque under police protection to perform religious rituals. Settler activity also included attacks on Palestinian homes, the destruction of water lines in the Al-Baqi'a plain, and the theft of olive crops.
In a separate security operation, Israeli Police arrested 25 West Bank workers in the towns of Kafr Qasim, Tayibe, and Jaljuliya for allegedly entering Israel without permits. During this operation, authorities also seized a drone, a Glock pistol, and ammunition.
