Israeli forces intensify raids in West Bank, vehicles burned in Nablus area

Israeli army units deployed reinforcement troops and bulldozers to the northern West Bank, carrying out raids in Nablus city and surrounding villages. In Nablus, soldiers opened fire on a Palestinian civilian, while in the Calud village three parked vehicles were set ablaze, injuring residents and prompting local leaders to condemn the attacks. The operations also targeted Teyasir, el‑Mugayyir, Ebu Felah and other villages, with reports of beatings, arrests of two brothers, and the assault on an elderly resident, Yahya Uleyyan. The violence follows a surge in Israeli incursions into occupied West Bank territories since the October 2023 Gaza conflict, which the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs notes has seen over 1,300 attacks this year, resulting in more than 1,180 Palestinian deaths and thousands of injuries and detentions.
