Israeli Forces Launch Wide Arrest Raids Across West Bank

Israeli army units carried out a series of coordinated raids in the occupied West Bank early on Wednesday, arresting more than 30 Palestinians. The operations targeted several towns and cities, including Tulkarm, Qabatiya in the north, as well as neighborhoods in Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jenin, and Qalqilya. Among those detained were released prisoners, Gaza‑origin workers and dozens of young men.

The raids were accompanied by settler attacks and clashes that involved gunfire, tear‑gas and stone‑throwing. Settlers fired live ammunition in the Bethlehem area, while soldiers entered homes, destroyed property and beat detainees. Injuries were reported among civilians, and the violence spread to other West Bank governorates such as Nablus, Ramallah, Jenin, Qalqilya and Tulkarm. The heightened security actions come amid rising tensions ahead of the upcoming Palestinian elections.
