Israeli forces launch widespread raids in West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli military units carried out a series of raids across the West Bank and East Jerusalem on June 16, 2026. In the Ramallah and Al‑Bireh governorate, troops entered villages including Kafr Naʿma, Shaqba, Qabia, Niʿlin, Bir Zait, and Barham, as well as the Marj al‑Dahab area of al‑Mughayir. In Nablus, forces swept the eastern sector to secure settler access to the Joseph's Tomb site and clashed with residents of Beitan Saar and surrounding villages. Similar operations were reported in Hebron, Bethlehem, and the village of Deir Balut, with soldiers conducting house searches, detaining dozens of Palestinians and demolishing hundreds of homes and structures.

The raids also extended to Jerusalem, where Israeli troops entered the village of Beit Eksa and other neighborhoods, carrying out extensive house searches, seizing property and arresting several residents. Authorities reported the arrest of at least 20 individuals across the occupied territories during these coordinated operations, alongside the demolition of more than 300 homes and structures.
