Israeli forces raid journalist Ali Al-Samoudi's home in Jenin

Israeli forces raided the home of Palestinian journalist Ali Al-Samoudi in Jenin, West Bank. During the raid, military personnel searched the residence, damaged property, and assaulted Al-Samoudi’s son.

Authorities demanded that Al-Samoudi surrender himself to the military, though no written summons was provided. Al-Samoudi was not present in the home at the time of the raid. He is a former Al Jazeera correspondent who previously underwent a year of administrative detention, during which he reportedly suffered from starvation and torture, leading to significant health complications including diabetes and hypertension.

Al-Samoudi has a long history of covering regional events, having been injured 11 times by gunfire during his 30-year career, including an incident while accompanying journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
