Israeli military and settler activities escalate across West Bank and Gaza
Tensions continue to escalate across Palestinian territories due to ongoing Israeli military and settler activities. In East Jerusalem, approximately 174 Israelis, accompanied by rabbis, entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform religious rituals using prayer books, an action described by local sources as an attempt to create a new status quo at the site.
In the West Bank, multiple incidents of violence were reported. In Hebron, Israeli forces and settlers targeted residents in the Er-Ras and Beyt Aynun areas, resulting in several injuries and the assault of Palestinian families. In the village of el-Ayzeriyye, Israeli forces raided a wedding hall, causing panic and physical altercations with guests. Additionally, raids in Tarkumiya and various homes in the West Bank led to injuries and detentions.
In the Gaza Strip, despite existing ceasefire agreements, Israeli military forces reportedly struck a tent camp for displaced persons near Al-Aqsa University in Khan Younis, resulting in multiple injuries. These developments occur amidst a broader pattern of increased military presence and displacement in the region.
