Israeli Forces Seize Weapons Cache in West Bank and Kill Islamic Jihad Terrorist in Gaza
Israeli Border Guard officers acting on intelligence uncovered a large cache of illegal weapons hidden at the bottom of a deep water well in the village of Al‑Jib, near Jerusalem. The multi‑night operation involved pumping water, divers and rescue teams, and resulted in the recovery of sealed bags containing rifles, ammunition, cellular phones, explosive charges and remote‑activation devices. No injuries were reported.
Separately, the Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Security Agency announced the elimination of senior Islamic Jihad operative Talal Jaber Mohammad Abd al‑Aal. Abd al‑Aal, who led a cell that infiltrated Israel during the Oct. 7 attacks and participated in hostage‑taking, was killed in a precision strike in the southern Gaza Strip. Israeli troops remain deployed in the area in line with the cease‑fire agreement.
