Israeli forces strike civilian infrastructure in southern Lebanon
Israeli forces conducted a series of strikes and demolitions across southern Lebanon, targeting civilian infrastructure and residential areas. In the town of Zouqer al-Sharqiya, Israeli forces destroyed several buildings, including a four-story school, a municipal building, a health center, a nursery, and multiple homes.
Additional military actions included airstrikes on Al-Mansouri, which the Israeli military described as targeting Hezbollah operational apartments, and explosions in the towns of Hadatha and Beit Yahoun. A drone strike on a religious site on the Kfara-Assi road reportedly caused several injuries. Israeli drones were also observed flying over the southern suburbs of Beirut.
The Lebanese Army issued a statement condemning these actions as violations of international law and existing understandings. The military noted that the ongoing Israeli attacks, including shelling and destruction of property, are obstructing the army's ability to complete its deployment in the south and preventing residents from returning to their homes.
