Israeli Incursion in Syria's Daraa Region Displaces Thousands

Israeli military forces carried out artillery strikes and helicopter gunfire on the villages of Abedin and Tal al‑Magr in Syria’s Daraa governorate and nearby Quneitra area. The attacks prompted the temporary displacement of about two thousand civilians, who fled to neighboring villages; no injuries or major property damage were reported.

Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the operation as a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and an infringement of international law, calling on the United Nations and the international community to act. UN peacekeepers from the UNDOF mission monitored the area after the Israeli withdrawal.
