Jacobs, who was treated at Beilinson Hospital, recounted fighting the attacker with his bare hands and attempting to subdue him after the attacker’s knife broke. He described chasing the assailant with a rock before realizing he had sustained multiple wounds to his head, neck, and limbs. His parents reported that he is currently in stable condition.

Following the attack, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a manhunt. Soldiers located the suspect in a nearby area, where he reportedly attempted to stab military personnel. An IDF company commander shot and killed the attacker. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the incident, stating that “no terrorist has a safe haven” and vowing to continue eliminating terrorist threats in the region.
