Israeli military expands Gaza “Yellow Line” and targets weapons smugglers

Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip have resulted in new casualties and the expansion of the “Yellow Line” security zone. The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that three Palestinians, including a woman, were killed and 17 others wounded in the last 24 hours due to attacks on residential areas. Since the recent ceasefire agreement took effect, the ministry reports 1,501 deaths and 5,323 injuries, contributing to a cumulative war toll of 74,392 fatalities and 175,440 wounded since October 7, 2023.

In Gaza City, Israeli forces have extended the “Yellow Line” in the al-Tuffah neighborhood toward Salah al-Din Street, following a similar expansion in al-Shuja’iyya. This movement has forced families living in temporary shelters to flee.

Separately, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of two men, identified as Basel Nabil Abd al-Rahman Kashta and Ahmad Raja al-Shaer. The IDF accused the individuals of organizing the procurement, trading, and smuggling of weapons and military equipment into the Gaza Strip to support armed groups. The military stated the operation was intended to eliminate an immediate threat to soldiers and civilians operating near the Yellow Line area.
