Israeli Military Expands Raids and Detentions Across West Bank

Israeli occupation forces carried out extensive invasions, movement restrictions and abductions across the occupied West Bank, targeting towns, villages, refugee camps and key road entrances. Units sealed the villages of Aboud and An‑Nabi Saleh, set up roadblocks at al‑Mughayyer and other locations, seized surveillance recordings and abducted several Palestinians, including a 14‑year‑old child who was assaulted and hospitalized. Similar operations were reported in Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron and occupied Jerusalem, with numerous homes searched, residents detained and civilian movement severely limited.

At the same time, IDF Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth issued a series of severe administrative restriction orders against Jewish settlement activists, imposing full house arrest for months and daily police reporting. This step continued despite Defense Minister Israel Katz’s earlier directive to end administrative detention of settlers, highlighting a clash between military authorities and the elected government over the treatment of Jewish communities in the West Bank.
