Israeli Military Seizes Over 22 Dunams in West Bank Villages

Israeli authorities issued four military orders that place the hand on more than 22 dunams of land in the West Bank villages of Araba and Qabatiya, south of Jenin. The orders target 16.31 dunams in Araba and an additional 6 dunams plus 271 sq m in Qabatiya, citing military use. The moves come as part of a broader pattern in the first half of 2026, during which Israeli forces seized 4,379 dunams of Palestinian property through 40 hand‑over orders, established four security zones around settlements, created 16 security roads, and set up 12 military sites. Five expropriation orders resulted in the taking of 2,604 dunams, while four orders declaring state land added another 1,163 dunams. Additionally, 48 security‑measure orders targeted Palestinian vegetation, affecting 2,093 dunams of trees and crops.
