Gaza strikes kill multiple Palestinians, including rescue worker

Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries on Wednesday and Thursday. In northern Gaza, a Palestinian Civil Defence rescue volunteer, Mohamed Tamous, was killed in an airstrike near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahiya while traveling to assist the wounded.

In Gaza City, an airstrike targeting a vehicle in the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood killed five people and wounded 13, according to Al-Shifa Hospital and civil defence officials. Other strikes in Gaza City reportedly killed a woman and a child during the bombing of a residential building, while artillery shelling also claimed a life.

Southern Gaza saw further casualties in Khan Younis, where a drone strike killed 60-year-old Hisham Ibrahim Abu Mustafa and a 17-year-old Palestinian. The Israeli military has stated that its strikes target military operatives from terrorist organizations.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the total number of Palestinians killed since the conflict began in October 2023 has exceeded 74,200.
