Israeli forces and settlers raid West Bank Tel village, killing 4 Palestinians and arresting 70
Israeli security forces and right‑wing settlers carried out a series of raids in the Nablus area of the occupied West Bank, focusing on the Tel village. The attacks killed four Palestinians and wounded several others; one of the victims was an infant. An ensuing clash also resulted in the deaths of two Israeli soldiers. Israeli authorities launched a large‑scale operation that detained more than 70 Palestinians and questioned hundreds across dozens of homes in Tel and surrounding villages.
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben‑Gvir called for the demolition of Palestinian homes with bulldozers, likening the action to the destruction seen in Gaza. Turkey’s foreign ministry condemned the “settler terror” and urged the international community to hold Israel accountable. Opposition figures in Israel criticised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the West Bank, warning that the policies are inflaming the conflict.
