Israeli occupation issues administrative detention orders for 93 Palestinians

Israeli occupation authorities announced the issuance and renewal of administrative detention orders against 93 Palestinian detainees, three of whom are women – Raghad al‑Fanni (Tulkarm) and Malak Mar'i and Shima Hazem (Jenin). The orders range from three to six months and affect individuals from the West Bank’s major cities and refugee camps. The move was described by the Prisoners Affairs Committee and the Prisoners’ Club as a continued escalation of the policy of administrative detention, which they say is justified by the occupation under a “secret file” claim.

The total number of Palestinians held under administrative detention rose to 3,376 by the end of May. The list of names released includes detainees from Hebron, Ramallah, Nablus, Qalqilya, Jerusalem and other areas, highlighting the breadth of the practice across the occupied territories.
