Israeli Occupation Systematically Publicizes Prisoner Torture, Says Palestinian Prisoners' Rights Group

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club (Nadi al‑Aseer) says the Israeli occupation has turned the torture of Palestinian detainees into an official policy, openly documenting and broadcasting graphic images to showcase and deepen its campaign of genocide. The group cites a recent video showing a Gaza detainee naked and bound in a brutal manner, describing it as “the highest level of humiliation and abuse.”

It alleges that Israeli soldiers are the main source of these recordings and points to videos posted by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir as evidence of the normalization of such crimes. The club warns that attempts to portray these acts as isolated incidents are false, noting that field testimony confirms a coordinated, institutional practice.

According to the statement, more than 100 prisoners have died in Israeli custody since the start of the widespread campaign, with the identities of 90 victims disclosed. The total number of Palestinians held in Israeli prisons has risen to about 9,400, including women, children, and thousands under administrative detention.
