Israeli Operations Spur Lebanese Protest and West Bank Raids
Residents of several villages in Lebanon's Nabatieh governorate, including Kfar Tabnit, Zawtar Sharqiya, Zawtar Gharbiya, Nabatieh al‑Fawqa, Yahmar and Arnon, staged a peaceful sit‑in in front of the governorate building to denounce ongoing Israeli attacks that have demolished homes and displaced civilians in the south. The demonstration featured local officials such as mayor Dr. Mohamed Faqih and MP Hani Qubaisi, who demanded state protection and an end to the destruction.
At the same time, Israeli forces launched a wide‑scale raid across the occupied West Bank, entering towns and villages in Jenin, Nablus, Hebron, Ramallah, and other areas. The operation involved house searches, the use of tear‑gas and live ammunition, and the arrest of dozens of Palestinians, including minors, such as Yusuf Ali Shahada in Arouif and the child Abedah Wael Al‑Haroub in Wadi Fukin. The raids sparked confrontations in several locations and heightened tensions throughout the territory.
