Israeli police arrest 18 Palestinian workers in Tayibe and Qalansawe

Israeli police and National Guard forces conducted a large-scale security and traffic operation in the cities of Tayibe and Qalansawe. The campaign resulted in the arrest of 18 Palestinian workers from the West Bank, who are accused of being in the country without legal permits. An employer was also detained after allegedly attempting to flee the scene during the operation.

During the searches, authorities reported seizing firearms, ammunition, airsoft pistols, suspected narcotics, and various sums of money. The operation also included traffic enforcement, leading to 15 traffic violations and the 30-day impoundment of a motorcycle operated by a young woman without a license.

Police stated the intensified activity aims to combat crime, unlicensed weapons, and the employment of undocumented workers. Local sources have expressed concern that such frequent security raids in Arab towns may increase social tensions.
