Israeli Settlers and Forces Intensify Raids Across West Bank, Including Nablus and Deir Jalil

More than 100 Israeli settlers entered the West Bank village of Deir Jalil east of Ramallah, breaking into homes, vandalising vehicles and setting a house ablaze while the area remained under military protection. Residents were locked inside the village gates as the settlers, many from the Hilltop Youth, continued to arrive. The incursions sparked concerns from the Catholic Church, which warned that the nearby Christian town of Taybeh and its Marian festival were under threat.

At the same time, Israeli military operations have expanded across the northern West Bank, especially in Nablus. Raids involving troops, armored vehicles, drones and special forces have led to curfews, road closures and interruptions to electricity, communications, hospitals and schools. Settler attacks on Palestinian families have also risen, adding to the humanitarian strain. Israeli authorities say the actions target militant groups, while Palestinians and rights organisations say the heightened activity worsens security and civilian conditions.
