Israeli settlers and military conduct attacks in West Bank

Violence involving Israeli settlers and military forces has escalated across the West Bank. In the village of Yasuf, settlers reportedly shot and killed 51-year-old Mashour Yassin and injured another Palestinian during an attack on his home. Local officials noted that the assailants arrived from a nearby settler outpost established approximately two months ago.

In other areas, settlers set fire to Palestinian homes and vehicles. In Jalud, south of Nablus, the homes of the al-Tubasi family were burned, and in al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, the home of prisoner Fikri Abu Alia and two vehicles were torched. The Israeli military reported that more than 100 settlers blocked roads and threw stones at troops during these incidents.

In Jerusalem, hundreds of settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound to perform religious rites, while police restricted access for Muslim worshippers. According to UN data, more than 80 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since the beginning of 2026. Several regional nations, including Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, have condemned the incursions and settler actions.
