Israeli strikes kill Palestinians in Gaza City and Khan Yunis

Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip resulted in multiple Palestinian fatalities and injuries across several locations on Wednesday and Thursday. In southern Gaza, an airstrike in western Khan Yunis killed at least two men, an action the Israeli military stated targeted a militant.

In Gaza City, a vehicle carrying a deceased individual was struck by an Israeli airstrike in the Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood, reportedly killing one person and critically wounding several relatives. Other reported incidents include a fatal shooting west of al-Zahra town and strikes near an American field hospital in az-Zawaida. Widespread military activity, including artillery shelling and drone overflights, continues throughout the enclave.

Since a US-brokered ceasefire took effect in early October 2025, Palestinian health authorities report that at least 1,402 Palestinians have been killed and 4,881 wounded. The broader conflict, which began following the October 7, 2023, attacks, has resulted in a total death toll exceeding 73,000 Palestinians, according to local health officials.
