Israel's air strikes on Lebanon push death toll past 4,300 amid Sweden protests

On July 25, activists gathered in Stockholm's Odenplan Square to protest Israel's continued air strikes on Gaza and Lebanon, despite a declared cease‑fire. Protesters displayed signs reading "Civilians are being killed in Gaza" and "Stop attacks on Lebanon", and Dror Feiler, a Jewish‑Swedish activist, warned that "every day a child dies in Gaza even during the so‑called cease‑fire".

In Lebanon, the health ministry reported that Israeli bombardments since March 2 have raised the death toll to 4,330 and injured 12,236 civilians. The ministry also said more than one million people have been displaced, with hundreds of thousands of families forced to flee their homes. Diplomatic talks, mediated by the United States and other parties, have sought to extend temporary cease‑fires, but the humanitarian crisis continues to deepen.
