Israel's Gaza Offensive Continues as Diplomatic Isolation Deepens

Israel’s military has intensified its campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir pledging to keep pressure on the group and to prevent any resurgence of threats along Israel’s borders. Zamir said the operation has "significantly weakened" Hamas and altered the security reality, and he warned that Israel will not allow another attack like the October 7 massacre.

At the same time, Israel faces growing diplomatic isolation. International public opinion has shifted, with polling showing declining support in the United States and Germany. The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, further eroding Israel’s soft‑power standing and limiting its ability to forge scientific, cultural, and economic partnerships abroad.
