Israel's military prison faces massive Haredi convoy protest

Haredi groups in Israel announced a large-scale convoy of thousands of vehicles to travel to the military prison where Torah scholars detained for alleged offenses are being held. The planned march is part of an escalating campaign against recent arrests of yeshiva students, following weeks of street demonstrations. Organizers asked participants to register in advance and aim to reach the vicinity of the prison to deliver a coordinated public protest.

Police intervened in earlier convoy attempts, stopping the procession before it reached the prison, but the crowd was later released after senior rabbinic figures intervened. The movement has also seen related gatherings of Haredi leaders abroad, including in the United States, underscoring the broader community's mobilization against what they view as governmental overreach.
