Netanyahu celebrates US 250th independence, agrees to meet Trump

Netanyahu recalled the 1968 Entebbe rescue, marking the 50th anniversary of that operation, to illustrate long‑standing cooperation between the two nations.

These statements come amid ongoing tensions over Israel’s military actions in Lebanon and broader U.S.–Iran negotiations, but the leaders highlighted that the strategic partnership remains strong.
