Israel's Operation Roaring Lion Destroys Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon

During Operation “Roaring Lion,” Israel’s 98th and 91st Divisions encircled the Hezbollah strongholds of Bint Jbeil and Ainata in southern Lebanon. The forces reported destroying more than 1,500 terrorist infrastructure sites—including command centres, rocket launchers and weapons depots—and eliminating over 500 Hezbollah operatives.

Separately, Israeli troops have sealed off a tunnel complex on the Ali al‑Taher Ridge where dozens of Hezbollah fighters remain trapped with dwindling supplies. The tunnels, described as a kilometre‑long underground command‑and‑control hub, are being blocked by Israeli forces to prevent any breakout. The situation coincides with U.S.‑mediated talks on a framework agreement for an Israeli withdrawal from parts of southern Lebanon, discussed by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
