ISSSTE Hospital Director faces scrutiny in Sonora

Questions have arisen regarding the continued leadership of Dr. Priscila Sauceda at the ISSSTE “Dr. Fernando Ocaranza” Hospital in Hermosillo, Sonora. Following administrative and medical changes within the regional ISSSTE sub-delegations, workers and beneficiaries are questioning the basis for her permanence in her role.

Concerns have been raised regarding the hospital's infrastructure and safety. Reports indicate that necessary repairs, previously promised, have seen little to no progress in several areas. Additionally, an incident involving a ruptured oxygen tube during maintenance has sparked safety concerns. There are also ongoing inquiries regarding the management of public funds allocated for repairs, the transparency of contracting processes, and the technical capacity of the companies selected to perform specialized hospital work.
