ISSSTE installs 60 new hospital beds at Monterrey Regional Hospital

ISSSTE director General Martí Batres delivered 60 electric hospital beds to the Hospital Regional "Monterrey" in Nuevo León. The beds were placed in 17 surgery rooms, 10 in internal medicine‑1, 10 in internal medicine‑2, 14 in a multipurpose area and nine in pediatrics. They feature waterproof, antibacterial, fire‑retardant surfaces and patient‑adjustable positioning.

The equipment is intended to improve care for the institute’s 838,000 right‑sholders in the region, as well as beneficiaries in Tamaulipas and northern San Luis Potosí. During the same visit Batres inspected the Family Medicine Clinic "General Escobedo", confirming a 97 % stock level for 250 medication keys serving more than 66,600 right‑sholders. He also noted the installation of climate control for a mammography unit linked to the ISSSTE "Blue Rooms" network that uses artificial intelligence for breast‑cancer detection.

The delivery is part of a broader ISSSTE effort that includes ambulance renewal, the "La Clínica es Nuestra" program, expanded telemedicine, specialist recruitment and ongoing drug‑supply monitoring.
