Health and social welfare initiatives expand in Mexico and Venezuela

Various health and social welfare initiatives are being implemented across Mexico and Venezuela. In Mexico, the ISSSTE has joined the National Reforestation Day as part of the seventh Elena Arizmendi Tequio, involving over 770 volunteers to rehabilitate 38 medical units and workplaces, including planting hundreds of trees and improving childcare facilities. Additionally, the Hidalgo Youth Institute (Inhjuve) is providing free psychological and nutritional services to residents aged 12 to 29, available both in person and virtually. The Hidalgo Ministry of Health also conducted training for 163 professionals to improve the detection and prevention of cervical cancer.

In Venezuela, the Rafael Rangel National Institute of Hygiene (INHRR) completed an eight-week specialized training program on oncology biomarkers for postgraduate students in Maracay. The program focused on molecular diagnosis and precision medicine for high-impact tumors, including breast, lung, and colon cancers, to strengthen the national public health system.
