Istanbul driver strikes pedestrian, then checks car instead of helping

Security‑camera footage from Istanbul showed a grey car veering onto a sidewalk, hitting a pole and then colliding with a man walking there. The pedestrian was thrown a few metres but suffered only minor injuries. After the crash, the driver exited the vehicle and immediately inspected the front of the car, ignoring the injured man, who was later assisted by nearby passers‑by and shop owners.

The victim filed a police report and the authorities have opened an investigation into the incident and the driver’s conduct. The video quickly spread on social media, prompting public outrage over the driver’s lack of assistance.
