Istanbul Marathon public run registration opens October 21

Registration for the public run category of the 48th Türkiye İş Bankası Istanbul Marathon will open on Wednesday, October 21. Organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Spor Istanbul, the event is scheduled for Sunday, November 1, 2026.

The marathon holds a Gold Label title from World Athletics. While registrations for the 42K, 15.5K, and Corporate Run categories are already complete, a quota of 5,000 participants has been set for the free public run. Participants must be at least 14 years old by November 1, 2026.

The 6.5-kilometer public run course will begin near the 15 July Martyrs Bridge metrobus stop, cross the bridge to the European side, and conclude in Dolmabahçe. Bib numbers can be collected from eight designated locations across the Anatolian and European sides of Istanbul.
