Istanbul to Host EXPO3D 2026 Showcasing Turkey's Additive Manufacturing Growth

The global shift toward digital production is accelerating the adoption of additive manufacturing across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, medical technology and defence. In Turkey, strong industrial infrastructure, a growing pool of engineering talent and strategic location are positioning the country as a regional hub for 3D printing.

The inaugural EXPO3D Istanbul will be held from 17–19 September 2026 at the Istanbul Fair Center, featuring more than 100 companies, 120 brands and an expected 10,000 professional visitors. Organisers anticipate the fair will generate around $250 million in trade. The event will also host the 5th International 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Conference, organised with Yıldız Technical University.

EXPO3D coordinator Yıldırım Ünverdi emphasised that "ÜRETİMDE PARADİGMA DEĞİŞİMİ YAŞANIYOR" – additive manufacturing is no longer just a technology but a paradigm shift reshaping entire production processes. He noted that the global market is growing at over 20 % annually and could reach $169 billion by 2033, underscoring the long‑term strategic importance of the sector for Turkey.
