Turkey accelerates urban transformation via Yarısı Bizden campaign

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change is advancing urban transformation in Turkey through the ‘Yarısı Bizden’ campaign. In Istanbul, the program provides up to 875,000 TL in grants, 875,000 TL in loans, and 125,000 TL in moving support per residence. To date, 384,553 independent units in Istanbul have been included in the transformation process. In the Zeytinburnu district, 5,056 units within 515 risky structures have already been transformed. Specifically, in the Seyitnizam neighborhood, 67 buildings are undergoing simultaneous transformation.

In Bursa, urban renewal efforts are intensifying in the Osmangazi district. Technical inspections in the Altıparmak-Çarşamba area, covering 82 hectares, revealed that 85 percent of the 2,215 structures are in a high-risk group. Local authorities are working on a participatory model involving various professional chambers to develop a strategic transformation plan for the region.

The application deadline for the ‘Yarısı Bizden’ campaign has been extended to December 31, 2026, allowing residents to complete risk assessments and necessary legal processes.
