Isuzu expands Mexican market with D-Max pick-up launch

Isuzu is expanding its presence in the Mexican market by introducing the D-Max pick-up, marking a shift from its traditional focus on the truck market for over two decades. The vehicle was presented in Yucatán at the Salón del Automóvil.

The D-Max is designed to serve both heavy-duty work and daily use. It features a 3.0 turbo diesel engine intended to provide high torque, fuel efficiency, and durability. The lineup includes four versions, ranging from a single-cab model optimized for rugged work to double-cab versions equipped with infotainment systems for mixed or luxury use. Company executives describe the vehicle as having “truck DNA,” reflecting Isuzu's long-standing expertise in cargo vehicles.
