ISWAP members surrender to Nigerian Army in Borno State

Multiple groups linked to the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have surrendered to the Nigerian Army in Borno State following violent internal clashes between rival terrorist factions.

In the Mafa Local Government Area, 24 family members of ISWAP terrorists surrendered to the 112 Task Force Battalion. Reports indicate this group included 10 women and 24 children who fled the Dukumba and Gasuwa/Yaganari enclaves due to the infighting. The surrendered individuals have been profiled and documented by military authorities for further administrative action.

In separate operations, Nigerian troops and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) conducted raids in Maiduguri and Damboa. These actions resulted in the arrest of two suspects in Maiduguri, one of whom was found with ammunition, and the apprehension of a suspected ISWAP logistics supplier in Kekura who allegedly provided food and mobile phones to terrorist camps.
