Itabira, Brazil water supply halted for Vale‑led maintenance

The autonomous water and sewage service (SAAE) in Itabira announced that water distribution will be temporarily interrupted on Thursday, July 2, for preventive work carried out by mining company Vale on the Rio de Peixe system. Technical operations are scheduled from 07:30 to 21:00, with the agency planning network maneuvers to minimise the impact and restore service gradually after the work ends.

Affected neighborhoods include Abóboras, Bálsamos, Conceição, Fênix, Jardim Belvedere, Monsenhor José Lopes, Ribeira de Cima, Residencial Pedras do Valle, Santa Marta and Santa Ruth. Residents can contact SAAE’s 24‑hour customer service line (115) for assistance.
