Italian Junior Track Cycling Championships in Florence award multiple regional titles

The Italian Junior Track Cycling Championships took place at the Velodromo Enzo Sacchi in Florence. On the opening day, regional teams from Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia‑Romagna captured a series of titles across disciplines such as the Madison, team sprint and team pursuit.

Viola Zambelli (Team Biesse Carrera Zambelli) won the women’s team pursuit for Lombardy, while the Veneto trio of Vanessa Bacchin, Marta Grassi and Giorgia Timis claimed gold in the women’s team sprint. Leonardo Manfredi (Team Paletti Modena) secured the men’s team sprint title for Emilia‑Romagna, and his squad also earned a bronze in the men’s team pursuit. Other notable winners included Giorgia Guidolin, who took the Esordienti Madison title, and the Veneto team of Carlotta Casarotti and Giorgia Guidolin, who won the women’s Madison.

The event was organized by the Federazione Ciclistica Italiana, with medals presented by national vice‑president Saverio Metti and federation councillor Maria Pia Confalonieri. Officials announced that the second day will feature Keirin, additional sprint races and the omnium.
