Italian 2026 Trade Fairs Highlight Beachwear and Nautical Innovations
The 19th Maredamare fair took place in Florence’s Fortezza da Basso from 18‑20 July 2026, gathering 209 exhibitors of beachwear, lingerie and resortwear. The event showcased four summer‑2027 trends – Rural (natural fibres and earth tones), Delulu (pastel, ethereal hues), Actual (vivid colours and geometric prints) and Sparty (glamorous metallics) – and emphasized sustainability, ethical production and Made‑in‑Italy quality through runway shows, workshops and professional meetings.
From 1‑6 October 2026 the 66th Salone Nautico opened in Genoa, expanding its exhibition area with the new Palasport and the Waterfront of Levante. The salon featured 74 commercial activities, a dedicated restaurant floor and a focus on large yachts over 24 metres, alongside programmes on innovation, sustainability and maritime culture. President Piero Formenti of Confindustria Nautica noted that despite geopolitical tensions and US tariff pressures, the fair remains a key platform for the Italian yachting industry.
