Italian alumni gather for 40‑ and 50‑year high‑school graduation reunions

Former students of two Italian secondary schools marked major anniversaries of their graduation. The 1957 class of the Itis in Gorgonzola, Lombardy, reunited fifty years after receiving their Maturità. About a dozen alumni gathered at the Cascina Torrazza in Cambiago, where two teachers from the era, Giorgio Acquati and Virgilio Gamba, joined the former students. Several classmates were absent due to relocation or death, but participants recalled their youth and shared a lunch.

A separate group — the 1986 Ragioneria class of the Istituto Corinaldesi in Senigallia, Marche — celebrated its fortieth anniversary on 3 July. The reunion took place on a seaside restaurant terrace, drawing a large number of former classmates who reflected on their schooling, careers and the teachers who shaped them. Organisers Cristina and Sandrine were thanked for arranging the event, and attendees pledged to keep in touch and plan future gatherings.
