Italian school alumni reunions continue

Overview

Throughout the summer and autumn of 2026, alumni from various Italian schools continued to hold milestone reunions. Following extensive celebrations in July and August, new gatherings occurred throughout September and October.

In late September, former students of the 5th C class from the Istituto Tecnico Commerciale ‘A. Rizza’ in Siracusa marked the 50th anniversary of their 1976 graduation. The event included former professors Gaetano Bandiera and Salvatore Sapienza, and participants honored deceased classmates Sergio Abela and Giuseppe Fornì.

In Nervesa della Battaglia, the class of 1966 celebrated 60 years with a dinner at the Asolo Golf Club in Cavaso del Tomba, attended by approximately 45 people, including one participant traveling from Germany.

In Cesena, alumni from the Liceo Augusto Righi scientific high school held multiple gatherings. Class 5C, which graduated in 1998, met on September 25 to celebrate 28 years since graduation. Additionally, the 5Fb class marked the 20th anniversary of their 2006 graduation with a poolside gathering in Cesenatico on July 9, attended by former classmates from as far as London, Germany, the United States, and Australia.

In October, technical institute alumni organized further events. In Porto Recanati, the 1976 mechanical engineering class from ITIS Enrico Mattei gathered to reflect on their roles in the region’s industrial expansion. In San Severo, alumni from the 1973–1978 Course C at ITIS ‘A. Minuziano’ held a reunion that drew participants from various Italian regions and the United States, featuring a meeting between alumni and current fifth-year students.

Previous reunions included gatherings in Caccamo, Camerino, Giarre, Marsala, Macerata, Porto D’Ascoli, and Liceo A. Serpieri, spanning anniversaries from 30 to 54 years.
