Italian art festivals showcase Dario Fo centenary performance and Orestiadi 2026 finale

A staged reading of "Il Giardino dei Centenari" was presented at the Alik Cavaliere Artistic Center in Milan to mark the 100th anniversary of playwright Dario Fo and the birth of artist Alik Cavaliere. The performance, featuring actress Anna Della Rosa, revisited Fo's "Diario di Eva" and highlighted the significance of women's dialogue in the work.

The 45th edition of the Festival delle Orestiadi will conclude in July–August 2026 with a grand finale at the Cretto di Burri in Gibellina, Sicily. The closing program includes a concert by jazz musician Paolo Fresu and Daniele di Bonaventura on July 31, followed by a theatrical production "KOHLHAAS" directed by Marco Baliani on August 1, and a concert by singer Dimartino on August 2. The festival celebrates contemporary art and resistance, underscoring Gibellina's role as Italy's capital of contemporary art.
