Italian athletics championships in Puglia host dozens of Under‑20 and Under‑23 competitors

Athletics events in the Puglia region attracted hundreds of young athletes in early July. The Italian Under‑20 Championships in Caorle saw Puglian athletes earn three bronze medals, with notable performances by Ivan Musicco in the pole vault and Viviana Marinelli in the 3000 m.

A few days later, the venue in Molfetta hosted the Italian Under‑23 Championships and the senior Multiple Events Championships. A total of 677 athletes from 197 clubs competed for 42 titles over three days, with star prospects such as Celeste Polzonetti in the 100 m hurdles and a full slate of decathlon and heptathlon contests.
