Italian authorities implement security measures for football matches

Italian authorities have implemented various security and traffic measures for upcoming football matches. In Macerata, the Local Police have introduced new traffic regulations for the Serie D Coppa Italia match between Maceratese and Recanatese at the Pino Brizi stadium. These measures include parking bans in Piazzale Helvia Recina starting three hours before kickoff and transit restrictions for non-emergency vehicles one hour before the match. Specific traffic lanes have also been designated for vehicles exiting via via Fratelli Palmieri to ensure safety.

In Cremona, Prefect Antonio Giannelli has issued a ban on ticket sales to residents of the provinces of Padova and Brescia for two specific matches to prevent public order issues. The first restriction applies to the Serie B match between Cremonese and Padova scheduled for September 6. The second concerns the Pergolettese-Union Brescia Serie C match on August 30. These preventive measures were decided following evaluations by the Ministry of the Interior’s Committee for the Analysis of Security in Sporting Events.
