Authorities in Italy continue to implement legal and disciplinary actions against football supporter groups following incidents of violence and intimidation. In Bergamo, State Police issued stadium bans to seven members of the ‘Ultras Italia’ group following an incident during a 2026 World Cup qualifier where members intimidated spectators and forced them to vacate their seats. These individuals received a combined 31 years of bans from sports facilities across Italy and Europe.

In Udine, following violent clashes involving Padova supporters prior to a Coppa Italia match, ten individuals were initially charged with aggravated rioting. This has been followed by Padova Police Commissioner Marco Odorisio issuing 11 additional ‘daspo’ bans against members of the Padova Curva Sud ultras group. These new sanctions target individuals with criminal records in drug trafficking and weapons possession, including two minors.

Preventive security measures have also been expanded. In Cremona, Prefect Antonio Giannelli has banned ticket sales to residents of Padova and Brescia for the Cremonese-Padova Serie B match on September 6 and the Pergolettese-Union Brescia Serie C match on August 30. Additionally, in Macerata, local police have introduced traffic regulations and parking bans for the upcoming Serie D Coppa Italia match between Maceratese and Recanatese to ensure public safety.

Other recent enforcement includes investigations into 45 Sampdoria ultras in Genoa, a racially-motivated assault in Cesena, and ‘daspos’ issued in Milan following an assault on journalist Klaus Davi. In Siena, nine supporters were banned for possessing weapons during a match in Badesse.
