Italian authorities suspend bar licenses in Savona and Cremona

Italian authorities have issued license suspensions for two establishments following police inspections that revealed threats to public safety and legal violations.

In Savona, the Questore suspended a food and beverage license for seven days. The decision follows repeated interventions by the State Police and Local Police regarding the frequent presence of individuals with criminal records and episodes of violence. Recent incidents included a physical altercation between two women triggered by slot machine use, as well as the operation of VLT machines during unauthorized hours.

In Cremona, the Bonis bar on via Palestro has had its license suspended for nine days. Investigations by the State Police and the Milan Crime Prevention Department found that the venue frequently hosted patrons with criminal histories and served alcohol to minors. One specific incident involved a 16-year-old who required hospitalization due to excessive alcohol consumption. Other local bars are also under scrutiny following previous reports of brawls.
