Italian AVIS blood donation initiatives expand in Crotone and Molise

On July 16, the municipal AVIS chapter in Crotone partnered with the provincial Carabinieri command to run a blood‑collection day. The event, held in the courtyard of Viale della Stazione, saw volunteers and military personnel alternate in donating blood, highlighting civic duty and the importance of a stable blood supply during emergencies.

Separately, AVIS Molise announced a recruitment drive for its Regional Youth Group, inviting people aged 18 to 29 to apply by August 24. The initiative aims to involve younger donors and volunteers in promoting blood and plasma donation, enhancing community health and fostering a new generation of volunteers across the region.
