Italian Carabinieri Deploy Summer Reinforcements in Massa Carrara and Cesenatico

Eleven new Carabinieri officers began service in the province of Massa Carrara to increase patrols and crime prevention during the summer months. The reinforcement includes seven graduates of the 144th training course and four officers transferred from other parts of Italy. They are now operating from the “Plava” barracks under the command of Colonel Alessandro Dominici, aiming to provide a stronger presence in urban centres and coastal communities.

In the province of Forlì‑Cesena, the Carabinieri have also boosted their summer deployment. Colonel Gianluigi Di Pilato met with personnel at the Cesenatico company, where 12 second‑year marshal trainees from the Florence school joined existing forces. Additional support includes five senior officers from the Emilia‑Romagna legion, two SAT squads from the Ligurian battalion in Genoa, and one SIO squad from the Veneto battalion in Mestre. These units will operate primarily along the Adriatic coast—Cesenatico, Savignano sul Rubicone, and San Mauro Pascoli—and inland areas until the end of August or early September, focusing on tourism hotspots and rapid response capabilities.
