Italian Carabinieri enforce electronic monitoring in two cases
In Bologna, a 40‑year‑old man investigated for stalking and for repeatedly failing to meet child‑support obligations was ordered by a judge to wear an electronic bracelet and to keep away from the victim and her family. The precautionary measure, requested by the public prosecutor, followed a complaint in which the woman described threats, intimidation and use of their children to control her.
In Cirò Marina, a man placed under house arrest for alleged domestic‑violence offences repeatedly breached the conditions of his electronic monitoring. After police checks confirmed the violations, a court revoked his home‑detention order and transferred him to the Catanzaro prison to serve pre‑trial custody.
